Here we are compiling a comprehensive and growing listing of all known books, magazine and newspaper articles, reports, 'zines, pamphlets and films on railroad work, nomadic rail culture and related topics. To assemble this, we have taken Shoefly Jay's original bibliography from 1999, the most comprehensive documentation of these subjects ever assembled, and then expanded and updated it. We have a long-term goal of getting copies of all the materials listed here for our boxcar resource center/library at Black Butte.

If you know of additional materials you think we should list, or if you have corrections, please let us know. Try to provide as much detail as possible and follow the same general format we have used for listings here.

For some of the listings we have a few sentences of description attached. If you want to add descriptive comments to the many entries that don't yet have them, email them to us at "info @ bbcrc.org".
